A sixth person has died as a result of injuries sustained in the explosion Feb. 7 at the Kleen Energy Systems plant in Middletown, officials say.

Middletown Mayor Sebastian Giuliano said the victim died around 1:30 p.m on Friday at Hartford Hospital. The identity of the victim has not been released.
