A Chandler family is coping with the loss of a pet after animal control workers mistakenly euthanized their dog.

Rose Downing said two of her family dogs got loose from their home last Thursday, near Dobson Road and Chandler Boulevard. Someone in the area called Maricopa County Animal Care and Control, who took in the dogs.
